843cf4eee0 feat: agent authoring & doc generation (WP-0007, v1.4.0)
Some checks failed
ci / test (push) Failing after 40s
Publish Python package / publish (push) Successful in 4m46s
New authoring tooling and a fix for the doc-regeneration defect it exposed.

Added:
- src/kaizen_agentic/agent_docs.py — render + idempotent upsert of the
CLAUDE.md "## Installed Agents" section (shared by installer and CLI)
- `kaizen-agentic docs generate [--check]` — idempotent doc refresh / CI gate
- `kaizen-agentic create-agent` — scaffold a schema-valid agent
- Frontmatter schema validation in `kaizen-agentic validate`
(required name/description/category, known category, valid memory/model)
- tests: test_agent_docs, test_validate_schema, test_create_agent

Fixed:
- _update_documentation regex duplicated the Installed Agents block on every
run (stopped at the first ### subheading) — now idempotent
- declared frontmatter `category` is authoritative (heuristic is fallback)
- list_installed_agents reads the frontmatter name, not the filename
- renamed agent-project-management.md -> agent-project-assistant.md to satisfy
the agent-<name>.md convention (eliminates a name/filename collision that
caused install/update to write a divergent duplicate)
- test_cli_error_handling no longer installs into the repo root (uses tmp)

Version 1.4.0; CHANGELOG, CLI cheat sheet, agency-framework, TODO updated.

ca6909a04f Update documentation for first-time users and fix outdated agent names
Major documentation improvements:
- Fixed all outdated agent names throughout README.md and GETTING_STARTED.md
- Updated agent references from old names (todo-keeper, changelog-keeper, setup-repository)
to new names (keepaTodofile, keepaChangelog, setupRepository)
- Created comprehensive HELLO_WORLD_TUTORIAL.md with step-by-step guide for new users
- Added prominent tutorial links in README.md and GETTING_STARTED.md for better discoverability
- Updated Python version requirements from 3.8 to 3.9 in project templates
- Enhanced first-time user experience with clear guidance and working examples

Documentation now provides:
Working commands that match actual agent names
Clear separation between new users and experienced users
Complete tutorial from installation to running code
Proper guidance for scenario one (greenfield projects)

d560d1dcfd Fix failing tests for agent framework updates
Updated test fixtures and expectations to match new agent naming:
- Fixed test registry to use correct agent names (setupRepository, keepaTodofile, keepaChangelog)
- Updated test assertions to expect new agent names instead of old ones
- Added missing category fields to test agent definitions
- Enhanced test registry with keepaChangelog agent for complete template testing

All 24 tests now pass:
- test_core.py: 6 tests

da6eee7d47 Fix all flake8 violations across the codebase
CODE STYLE FIXES:
- Fixed line length violations by breaking long lines appropriately
- Removed unused imports (os from installer.py and registry.py)
- Removed unused variables (package_name in _create_pyproject_toml)
- Fixed f-string usage (removed f-strings without placeholders)
- Fixed import organization and removed redundant imports
- Added missing newlines at end of files

SPECIFIC FIXES:
- cli.py: Split long option line, fixed f-string usage, added newline
- installer.py: Removed unused imports/variables, fixed line breaks, improved validation logic
- registry.py: Removed unused import/variable, broke long condition line
- test files: Removed unused imports, fixed long assertion lines, added newlines

All 24 tests still pass and flake8 now reports no violations.
Code is now compliant with PEP 8 style guidelines.

873120c2d3 Fix test failures and rename Makefile targets for consistency
MAKEFILE TARGET RENAMING:
- Renamed agent management targets to use agents- prefix for consistency
- list-agents → agents-list
- update-agents → agents-update
- validate-agents → agents-validate
- agent-status → agents-status
- install-agent-cli → agents-install-cli
- Updated all documentation to reflect new naming convention

TEST FIXES:
- Fixed backup directory collision in tests by adding microseconds and counter
- Improved dependency detection to be more precise and avoid false positives
- Updated dependency parsing to support YAML frontmatter dependencies
- Fixed test expectations to match actual validation behavior
- All 24 tests now passing

DEPENDENCY SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS:
- Enhanced dependency extraction from YAML frontmatter (dependencies, depends_on, requires)
- More precise agent reference detection in content
- Better handling of explicit vs implicit dependencies
- Improved validation error reporting

This ensures consistent naming convention (setup-, standards-, agents-) across
all Makefile targets while fixing test reliability issues.
