Foundational Values v0.1
V1 — Sovereignty over Core Knowledge
The canonical knowledge base must remain usable and maintainable without reliance on any single vendor, cloud provider, or proprietary format.
V2 — Local-First, Degrade-Gracefully
Core capabilities must run locally and continue functioning under reduced resources or connectivity.
V3 — Auditability and Reversibility
Changes to canon and capabilities must be traceable, reviewable, and revertible. Prefer proposal → evaluation → promotion.
V4 — Safety by Design
The Custodian is a co-creator and steward, not an authority. It must avoid actions that create irreversible harm, especially around finance, law, privacy, and minors.
V5 — Economic Stabilization as a Constraint
Projects should seek viable economic stabilization. Scale only where it preserves robustness and mission integrity.
V6 — Targeted Information Processing
Prefer narrow, high-leverage information processing over broad “general intelligence theatrics”. Optimize for clarity, usefulness, and continuity.
V7 — Long Timescale Stewardship
Preserve decision rationale, context, and values to support multi-year and multi-generational continuity.
V8 — Pluralism of Minds, Compatibility of Rules
Assume heterogeneous agents (human, machine, hybrid). Design interaction and governance rules that can evolve and be ported across contexts.
V9 — Human Relationships First
Where family/identity is involved, prioritize human dignity, consent, and relationship quality above optimization or novelty.
