Deep dive on Ward Cunningham's Federated Wiki (Smallest Federated Wiki / SFW, 2011 →) as a federation model rather than a single shard: fork-with-provenance, the per-page JSON journal of semantic actions, the story of typed items, the neighborhood/roster discovery model, and time-bounded happenings.
This is prior art for shard-wiki's coordination layer itself — the closest existing
system to "a union of pages preserving provenance, assembled non-destructively." It
extends research/260608-federation-concepts/ §3 with the concrete data model + protocol.
